How do I make dining reservations at Aulani Resort?
Dining reservations are available 30 days in advance. Starting July 1st, resort reservations are required to make dining reservations. For information on dining availability please call (808)-674-6200.

What is the Character breakfast experience?
Mickey Mouse and other Disney Friends will be there to say Aloha as Aunty or Uncle serenade your morning in song as you dine in Makahiki Restaurant for a delicious 3-course breakfast. Photo opportunities with Disney friends are available throughout the experience, and photo packages are available at an additional charge.

Will Disney characters visit my table?
No. Disney friends will help provide entertainment throughout the character breakfast experience, and photo opportunities will be available for each party.

Do the Resort restaurants offer meals for special dietary needs?
The Food & Beverage team is committed to offering a wide range of options to accommodate Guests with food allergies or intolerances. Please notify us of any food allergies and intolerances when booking your dining reservation. You're also welcome to speak with a chef or a manager-on-duty upon arrival at the restaurant.

If I bring personal food items or groceries to a Resort restaurant, can a Disney chef prepare or heat my food?
Sorry, but our chefs and other Cast Members may not prepare, cook, heat or reheat any food items brought in by Guests.
However, if you have special dietary requests, we will work with you to try and meet your needs.

What is the policy on alcoholic beverages?
The drinking age is 21 at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa. Valid photo I.D. is required.

Where can I dine with Disney Characters?
Aulani Resort offers “Makahiki Character Breakfast” a Disney Character Breakfast.

My family is celebrating a special occasion. Can we order a cake for our celebration?
No. Not at this time.

What is the dress code at Aulani restaurants?
Most restaurants at Aulani feature a Resort Casual dress code policy. The following guidelines apply to Makahiki restaurant:
Dress Code Guidelines
Ensuring that this resort is family friendly is an important part of the Disney experience. In that spirit, we ask you to use your discretion and common sense.- Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times
- If wearing a swimsuit, a cover-up is also required
- Costumes may not be worn by Guests14 years of age or older
- Attire that is not appropriate for Walt Disney Parks & Resort Guests includes, but is not limited to:
- Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
- Excessively torn clothing or loose fitting clothing which may drag on the ground and create a potential trip hazard
- Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
- Visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate, such as those containing objectionable language or designs
- Wedding attire including, but not limited to, white gowns, veils, tuxedos and other types of formal attire

Can I host an event at one of the Aulani Resort restaurants?
No. Not at this time.

May I provide my own cake?
A guest may bring their own cake, however due to health and safety reasons, we cannot store guest's cake and it must remain at your table. Leftover cake must leave with the guest in the same box that it came in.
