‘AMA‘AMA is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday. Dining reservations can be made 45 days in advance.
Style and Theme
‘AMA‘AMA is designed to resemble a beachside house. Its spacious dining room features a thatched roof, mosaic designs, a fountain and a reflecting pool. New light fixtures inspired by traditional Hawaiian fish baskets and an alluring central light fixture composed of fin-like elements that swim above the entrance, enhance the connection between the restaurant and its namesake, the ‘ama‘ama fish—historically the most abundant and vital fish of Hawai‘i.

‘AMA‘AMA is located beside the Waikolohe Valley pool area, just steps from the beach.

The newly reimagined fine-dining experience features a delicious 4-course, prix-fixe dinner menu. Each course pays homage to the spirit of Hawai‘i, with unique flavors, high-quality ingredients and locally sourced fish and produce. The menu is almost completely gluten-free, with a plant-based option available for every course to ensure every type of dietary need can experience the very best of Hawai‘i’s flavors!
Our new menu offers an array of contemporary island cuisine, including dishes like Carpaccio with black garlic & truffle, egg yolk, chili pepper aioli, chimichurri on a Punalu'u crostini.
Our Pastry Chef has prepared a decadent selection of desserts, incorporating iconic local flavors such as liliko’i, calamansi, coconut, macadamia nut and Kona coffee. 'AMA'AMA also features a globally curated wine list fit for all types of celebrations.
